What Happens on My First Visit?
You will be greeted by our staff and asked to fill out a
confidential patient intake form for either yourself or your children, or both!
The paperwork takes approximately 15 minutes
You will then have a detailed consultation with the
doctor. You will be asked about your general health status as well as your specific health issues. Here the
doctor will explain how chiropractic works.
This part of your visit lasts approximately 10 minutes
After the consultation, the doctor will perform a
thorough examination on you. Posture, orthopedic tests, neurological tests, and palpation (feeling the position
of your spinal bones) will help the doctor determine the state of your health. You will also get your spine
scanned with our infrared thermography scanner to determine the amount of stress in your nervous system.
This part of your visit lasts approximately 20 minutes
At this point, the doctor will decide if x-rays are
necessary in your case. Regardless, your first visit will end at this point.
Total time for first visit is 45 minutes
Report of Findings: after the doctor has had a chance to
go over all of your results, a summary package will be prepared for you. The doctor will spend time going over
all of the details of your results and make a recommendation of care. If you decide you would like to begin care,
you will receive your first adjustment during this visit.
This visit will last approximately 30 minutes
If you begin care, you will
be required to attend a 'special appointment / doctor's report of findings', to better understand your care, how you can heal faster, and the do's and
don'ts to make your care more effective. We encourage you to bring your spouse to this visit. It is important for support and we usually have a demonstration that requires a partner. There is no cost for this visit. It is done in a group setting and usually lasts about 60 minutes. Attendance is mandatory for patients, with no exceptions!
